Frequently asked questions
What devices does Stoplio support?
Stoplio is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 17 or later.
Can I save and repeat a sequence of timers?
Yes. Programs contain named steps with individual durations and cues. You can add a delayed start, repeat the full sequence, reorder saved programs, and start from built-in templates such as Pomodoro, Tabata, EMOM, mobility, breathing, and focus timers.
Can I turn stopwatch laps into a program?
Yes. After recording laps, use the program action in the stopwatch screen to create a new editable program from the lap splits.
Why aren't voice commands working?
- Enable voice commands during an active session.
- Allow both Microphone and Speech Recognition in Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Check that Stoplio's selected language matches the commands you are speaking.
- Try again somewhere quieter and make sure no other app is using the microphone.
Manual controls continue to work if voice permissions are denied.
Why can't I hear chimes or spoken cues?
- Check the alert scope, quarter-minute beeps, minute chimes, announcements, and volume in Stoplio Settings.
- Raise the iPhone's media volume and disconnect unexpected Bluetooth audio devices.
- Keep Stoplio visible when testing spoken cues; iOS may suspend app audio in the background.
Why isn't the timer on my Lock Screen or Dynamic Island?
Live Activities require a supported iPhone and must be allowed for Stoplio in iOS Settings. Start a stopwatch, countdown, or program, then lock the phone. Dynamic Island is available only on iPhone models that include it; other supported models show the activity on the Lock Screen.
Will the display stay awake?
Enable Keep display on during active session in Stoplio Settings. When enabled, the phone will not auto-lock while a stopwatch, countdown, or program is running or paused on the active-session screen.
Can I use Stoplio with Siri or Shortcuts?
Yes. Stoplio exposes actions for starting and controlling timers through Siri and the Shortcuts app. Open Shortcuts and search for Stoplio to see the actions available on your device.
How do I reset or remove my data?
Delete saved countdowns or programs inside the app. To remove all Stoplio data and settings, delete the app from your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy for details.
