Privacy Policy

In short: Stoplio has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party SDKs, or developer-operated server. Your timers and settings stay on your iPhone. Voice control uses Apple's speech-recognition service only while you enable it.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Stoplio iOS app ("Stoplio", "the app", "we") handles information.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal information through Stoplio. The app has no user account or sign-in and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs. Stoplio makes no requests to a server operated by us.

Data stored on your device

Programs, saved countdowns, settings, and an interrupted session are stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone. This information is used to provide the app's timer features and is not uploaded to us. Deleting Stoplio removes the data stored by the app.

Microphone and speech recognition

Voice control is optional. Stoplio requests microphone and Speech Recognition permission only when you first enable voice control during a timer session.

The microphone is active only while voice control is switched on.
Stoplio does not record or save microphone audio.
The app asks iOS to recognise commands on-device when the selected language and device support it.
If on-device recognition is unavailable, iOS may send audio to Apple for processing, as it does for dictation. This processing is provided by Apple, occurs only while voice control is enabled, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

You can revoke Microphone or Speech Recognition access at any time in iOS Settings. Voice commands will stop working, while manual timer controls remain available.

Live Activities, Siri, and Shortcuts

Stoplio can show the current timer in a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and can respond to actions you initiate through Siri or the Shortcuts app. These features are provided by iOS. Stoplio does not use them to collect information or send data to a server operated by us.

Permissions

Microphone - hears optional voice commands while a session is active.
Speech Recognition - converts those commands into timer actions such as start, pause, reset, or lap.

Stoplio does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, or local network.

Children's privacy

Stoplio does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Data retention and deletion

Because we do not receive your app data, there is nothing for us to retain, export, or delete from a server. Removing the app deletes the information it stored locally.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if Stoplio's features or data practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
